Thumbs Up to Relief

Many people go to a chiropractor because they are in pain. In this first phase of care, the main goal is to reduce your symptoms. Sometimes this will require daily visits, but most often three visits per week will allow us to get your pain under control.

Pain relief can also be more complex than you think.  Yes, chiropractic has become famous for its ability to quickly and safely relieve pain but other lifestyle factors such as diet & nutrition, fitness levels and stress levels play a roll too.  At Beneski Chiropractic and Wellness Center a holistic approach to relieving pain is followed.

For many patients, infact the vast majority of patients, pain relief comes very quickly.  This relief is a good think but when you assume that because the acute pain is gone there is nothing wrong you can hurt yourself.

Most people are under the wrong assumption that if they don't feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them - that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is a very poor measure of health.   If you are seeing a doctor for your pain it is very likely that there has been a progressing problem that you were not aware of - a problem that has been building for a long time.

For example, consider a cavity in your tooth. Does it hurt when it first develops or only after it has become serious? How about heart disease?   Regardless of whether you are talking about cancer, heart disease, diabetes, stress or problems with the spine, pain is usually the last thing to appear. When you begin chiropractic care, pain is frequently the first symptom to disappear.  The underlying condition that resulted in you having pain will not go away in a couple of weeks.  It remains waiting for an opportunity to resurface and cause pain again.  At Beneski Chiropractic and Wellness Center correcting the underlying condition is our goal.  This is Corrective Care.
